This is both teams’ game in the relegation battle so settling for a draw here will not be a good idea. Therefore, I expect Venezia and Salernitana to show more offensive prowess that we have come to expect.
Although both teams are in the bottom 2 of xG for the entire season, this is clearly influenced by the results against top sides. The results against teams within and around them in standings paint a completely different picture. Both teams scored in five out of six matches between Salernitana and the bottom five teams. In Venezia’s match with the bottom five, four teams were successful. In October, these two teams scored three goals together in a 2-1 match.
We’ll increase the corners by more than 7.5 to make this even. Salernitana games average 10.6 corners per game and Venezia games 9.4 corners each.

We’ll go to another relegation-threatened team in Genoa when they play host to Juventus. Italy’s oldest club sits 19th with 25 points. They still have three games to avoid being sent to Serie B.
Genoa has to win this game, as it is a difficult one for Genoa. However, the Old Lady won a top-four sport so that should be a help to the Grifone. Massimiliano Allegri, the manager, has repeatedly stated that the team’s goal for the season was to qualify the Champions League. After that, he may be able to play in a rotating lineup to assess his squad depth for next season. Juve’s xG, and xGA are often worse than at home.
Genua can be comforted by the fact that they have drawn against strong teams like Inter or Atalanta this season. Genoa has everything to win and Juve has a spot, so there’s more chance of an upset than this line suggests.
Lazio to win and both teams to score (+181)
Although the Champions League spots have been secured, the race for other European positions remains. Lazio, who is tied at 59 with their eternal rivals Roma, needs to win points against a stagnating Sampdoria team before Roma plays Fiorentina in order to have any chance of securing the Europa League spot.
