Ahmed Kendouci had an exceptional season with ES Setif, reaching the semi-finals in the CAF Champions League.
22-year old’s performance inspired ES Setif, which defeated Esperance, a Tunisia-based giant, in the quarter-finals.
Kendouci could be leaving ES Setif after a record seven goals and six assists in all 40 games.
A report from Al-Nahar states that Al Ahly is currently negotiating a deal for Kendouci’s services in the summer.
Currently, the player is bound to a contract with ES Setif which runs through June 2024. However, the player wants to move to the Red Castle.
Kendouci was the previous scorer against Al Ahly in the second-leg of the CAF Champions League semifinals. The game ended in a 2-2 draw.
Al Aly will be looking to strengthen their squad after a disappointing season so far in the Egyptian Premier League.
With four games remaining, the Red Devils trail arch-rivals Zamalek by seven point and are currently in third place with 37 points.
