While the Man United star remains on bail for his alleged crime of rape, the new Spurs player has been cleared from any wrongdoing in relation to his sexual assault case. A statement from the Metropolitan Police was released regarding the incident. It stated via the Daily Mail that “on 4 July, a report of rape against a woman in her 20s had been reported to police.
“It was reported that the alleged rape took place in June 2022. A 29-year old man was taken into custody on suspicion of rape after being arrested at Barnet address.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
The availability of the player for the new season is unknown. He was also rumored to be taking part in the World Cup this year, which could be in danger due to these allegations.
