Frank Lampard’s Toffees have not won a single game this season. They have drawn three of five games, but are currently 17th in the drop zone.
Liverpool on the other hand had a difficult start. However, Jurgen Klopp’s Reds managed to overcome this obstacle by winning three of their first three games and thumping Bournemouth nine-nil. They also beat Newcastle United last time.
Liverpool knows that if they want to close the gap to league leaders Arsenal and Manchester City they will have to show up and compete in a fixture that is known for being competitive.
Both sides have announced their starting lineups ahead of the thrilling derby which will kick off at 12.30 p.m. (UK time).
Interestingly Everton’s starting lineup is exactly as expected. However, Liverpool have made at most one significant change. Andrew Robertson, full-back, will not be starting and Konstantinos Tsimikas has taken his place.
