Tawfik joined Pyramids in 2018 at a cost of EGP 15 millions and has been a key pillar of the club’s success.
In total, the 30-year-old played in 106 matches for Pyramids in all competitions. This helped them reach the CAF Confederation Cup final in 2020.
But, he was beaten by Balti Toure and Walid El-Karti in the midfield and Omar Gaber as right-back at Pyramids.
Twfik is now Bank Al Ahly’s first summer signing. They plan to continue their success in the Egyptian Premier League.
This former Zamalek man signed a three year contract at Bank Al Ahly that will continue until the end 2024/25 season.
Last season, Bank Al Ahly finished seventh in Egypt’s Premier League table with 46 points. This was just 10 behind Tala’a El-Gaish who came fourth.
