El-Sayed is a 30-year-old product of Al Ahly youth academy. He made around 50 appearances for Al Ahly’s first-team while also playing spells at Misr El-Makkasa and El-Gaish as well as stints at El-Gaish Saudi club Al-Ettifaq and CS Sfaxien in Tunisia. Most recently, he was a player at Ismaily.
The left-back joined Ismaily in the 2020/2021 season, on loan from Tala’a El-Gaish. Despite only playing 14 games, he was a key player at the club and scored one goal.
Pyramids FC expressed interest in the player’s acquisition after his return to El-Gaish, his parent club. This was at Ehab Galal’s request.
Now that Ehab Galal has taken over Al Masry’s coaching, he showed his trust in the player by signing him before the start of the new EPL season.
During El Sayed’s time at Pyramids, Hussein only made 23 appearances. He managed to score one goal and provide two assists.
The Green Eagles have signed a number of other strong players, apart from Hussein El-Sayed. These include Marwan Hamdi (Egyptian international), Abderrahim Deghmoum (ES Setif midfielder) and Imadeddine Boubekeur (Wydad centre-back).
