After a disappointing season that saw Ismaily in the relegation zone for most of the campaign, Ismaily is now looking to strengthen its squad with new players.
A number of high-profile signings have been made by the Yellows, including Tunisian international Hamdi Nagguez and Tunisian duo Firas Chaouat & Nour Zammouri.
Their latest additions are Saleh Gomaa, an ex-Al Ahly midfielder, and El-Gouna’s Mahmoud Shahbrawy.
Gomaa, a former youth member of ENPPI, was a loanee at Portuguese club Nacional de Madeira before signing for Al Ahly.
Gomaa was accused of being inconsistent and lacking discipline. He spent five years in Cairo, where he won five league titles before his contract was terminated in 2020.
Gomaa, 29, was taken by Ceramica Cleopatra. He played there for two years, scoring once, and assisting five times in 31 games.
Gomaa signed a three-year contract with fallen giants Ismaily after a strong season. Mahmoud Shabrawy will join
GOMAA. He was signed from El-Gouna and paid an undisclosed fee.
– Shabrawy, who has served El-Gouna faithfully for five years, was a consistent player in 79 matches in which he scored ten goals and provided seven assists.
This left-winger, who was born in Ismailia, has signed a four-year contract that will keep him at the club until 2026.
