Hazem (33), is most well-known for his time at Al Ahly, where he played 25 games for the Reds between 2014 and 2016.
He also had stints with Arab Contractors, Ismaily and Arab Contractors. Most recently, he was transferred to Misr El-Makkasa in August 2020.
Hazem was a free agent since then despite having links with many Egyptian clubs. However, he has now found a new club in NK Brinje Grosuplje after two years.
Although the club was established in 2003, it won promotion to the Slovenian Second League after having won the Third League.
After a disappointing start to the season, they will be hoping Hazem’s past experience can give them an edge.
Brinje Grosuplje are 15th in the relegation zone with five points. They are two away from safety.
After a brief loan stint at Al-Wehda in Saudi Arabia, this is Hazem’s second time outside Egypt.
Hazem is also a former international player, having played for the Pharaohs in a 3-0 friendly win over Burundi in 2011.
