The White Knights are proactive in the summer transfer window, having secured deals for key players.
The White Knights were able to sign Senegal’s U-23 international Ibrahima Nyaye, a Swiss club FC Luzern, for an undisclosed amount to replace Achraf Benkarki.
Moroccan’s Zakaria El–Wardi arrived later from Raja Casablanca, to strengthen Zamalek’s midfield. He signed a three-year contract.
Club president Mortada Mansour had previously confirmed that Zamalek reached an agreement to sign Pyramids’ Nabil Emad Dunga as well as Tala’a El-Gaish defender Mostafa El-Zenary.
Dunga was officially revealed as a Zamalek player on Thursday. Hours later, El-Zenary was officially signed by the champions to be their fourth summer acquisition.
El-Zenary (23 years old) was a key player in El-Gaish’s last season under Tarek El-Ashry. He scored once and provided three assists, which contributed to El-Gaish’s fourth-place finish at the Egyptian Premier League table.
