According to 90min, Liverpool is interested in Adel’s transfer in January.
According to the report, Liverpool officials were inspired by Mohamed Salah’s talent. However, club scouts already know of Adel’s potential.
The report also claims that Arsenal, Brentford and Brighton are keeping an eye on the 21-year old’s progress.
Pyramids FC director Mahmoud Fathallah, however, insists that the news is merely rumours and expresses his delight at the Liverpool interest.
Fathallah stated that Ibrahim Adel was a great talent for Egypt and Egyptian football.
“The rumours about Liverpool’s interest in him are good, but nothing has been officially confirmed,” he said.
. Adel, a graduate of El-Mareekh Academy, joined Pyramids in February 2018 and was promoted to the first squad just one year later.
After being promoted to the first team of Pyramids in February 2018, Adel helped his team reach the CAF Confederation Cup finals in 2020.
At 21 years old, Adel scored six goals and provided four assists last season to help Pyramids reach their first ever second-place finish at the Egyptian Premier League.
Adel has also made four international appearances for Egypt’s national team since his debut in September last year.
Danish Superliga leader FC Nordsjaelland even revealed that they had made an official offer for Ibrahim Adel of EUR2m, but it was rejected by Pyramids.
Adel signed a new contract last month with Pyramids that will keep him at club until 2026, putting an end to all speculation about his future.
