Tau has completed a permanent transfer from last summer to Al Ahly, signing a three year contract at the Red Castle.
Al Ahly’s 28-year old player had a great start to his life in Egypt. He scored eight goals and provided six assists in 28 games across all competitions.
Al Ahly won the 2021 CAF Super Cup with his contributions and reached the final of the CAF Champions League.
He has not played in any domestic competitions since November 2021.
After Pitso Mosimane, the ex-head coach of Al Ahly, it is rumoured that Tau, a former Mamelodi Sundowns player, might be leaving Al Ahly.
Voetbalbelgie reports that Tau could be leaving Al Ahly during the current transfer window, with a possible return to Belgium.
&erlecht are reportedly interested to acquire the services of Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Fabio Silvi as well as Tau.
tau is not new to Belgian football. He has had spells at Union SG and Club Brugge in the past, while also spending a season-long loan at Anderlecht one year before his move from Brighton to Al Ahly.
